"At St. Louis St. looking down Chartres, showing particularly nice old buildings in immediate foreground. Panelling in the wrought iron railings is particularly good. Oval attic windows in the second building shows the French influence that is so strongly characteristic in this neighborhood. The perspective brings in other interesting facade of more English nature. Buildings of this type can be classed #1."
