![]() "We took the train from Memphis to Baton Rouge. The train was shunted to a siding and it backed up all the way to a town called Leland, Miss. There was no diner on the train & since it was lunchtime when we got to Leland, the conductor ask [sic] us to go with the train crew to a little cafe. I remember--that was where I tasted sweet potato pie (I thought it was pumpkin)." |
