The Louisiana Division's Photograph Collection includes over 40,000 individual photographic
prints,
negatives and slides. Major subdivisions of the collection are:

Special Collections
For most of the General Interest and Special Collections we have prepared photocopies of the
individual photographs for reference use. One photocopy of each original is filed in collection "shelf
list" order and a second copy is filed in a separate subject binder according to the placement of the
original photograph within the collection's subject arrangement. There are no restrictions to the use
of the binders of photocopies. Original photographs are available to registered researchers by
appointment.
Inventories and other finding aids for the photograph collection will be added to these pages as they
become available. For information on collections not listed below, please contact one of the
archivists in the Louisiana Division.
