Trinity Church, Jackson Avenue
Trinity Church on the corner of Jackson Ave. and Coliseum St. was designed by
George Purves and built in 1853. Originally admitted to the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana in May, 1848, the church
was founded to serve the faithful in the city of Lafayette. This venerable building still stands.
