The Jambalaya does not identify the individual "Officers of Instruction and Administration" shown in this photograph, but we know that among that number were a number of Tulanians who have a place in the history of New Orleans Public Library: Dr. Edmond Souchon, who donated his jazz collection to NOPL in the 1950s; Dr. James Hardy Dillard (see previous image); Dr. Samuel Logan, whose son George King Logan served as an assistant director of NOPL; and Dr. Albert Emile Fossier, whose collection of French medical texts, along with several manuscripts, were donated to NOPL by his daughter, Mildred.
