A slight departure from common practice this month. Instead of selections from our collections, we present an entire collection of images scanned just prior to Katrina. This small (155 images) group consists of scans of 35mm color slides shows ongoing construction projects, new buildings, some public events, etc., ca. 1940s-1950s, sent to the archives by an unknown city agency.

And, as the finding aid will reveal, they have a Katrina story of their own.
