Images of the Month
March 1999

This month we present a selection of images taken from a small album of fold-out, roughly postcard-size prints designed as a souvenir of the city. The album is undated but was probably produced in the 1880s, possibly to appeal to the visitors to the 1884-1885 World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition. It is one of several similar souvenir albums in the Louisiana Division's Rare Vertical File.

and a brief description of what it shows.
