It has long been a New Orleans tradition to escape the summer heat by going "across the lake." "Across the lake" could mean a day trip to Fontainebleau or Bogue Falaya State Park, or it could mean a longer stay at a summer home on the Gulf Coast. For June 2005, we're taking one of the longer vacations, and visiting with the family of Alexander Allison at their summer home in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
