New Orleans Public Library
Images of the Month Gallery
Architectural Art and Its Allies was published monthly in New Orleans from 1905-1913. General Allison Owen, architect (with Collins Diboll) of NOPL's old Main Library at Lee Circle, served as its editor throughout most of the publication's existence. A typical issue of Architectural Art included news articles of local, national and international architectural interest, letters to the editor, editorials, and advertisements. Individual issues were always well illustrated, usually with a combination of photographs and reproductions of building plans or other drawings. We present a dozen of those illustrations in this month's image gallery.
