Louisiana Day at the Exposition, September 14, 1904, was the highlight of the state's participation in the fair. The day's festivities included a procession of state and Exposition officials by carriage and horseback, accompanied by a grand military escort, to the "Cabildo," where a reenactment of the transfer of Louisiana to the United States was held. This procés verbal commemorating the event was signed by the participants in the ceremonies.
