Louisiana's Forestry Exhibit included specimens of every variety of forest growth,
gathered by Professor W.R. Dodson of the State Experiment Station and cut into trunk sections and boards
for display. Also on display were articles manufactured from Louisiana woods -- furniture, doors, window
frames, mantels, trays, oars, hubs, spokes, felloes, ax and hoe handles, chair bottoms, baseball bats,
cooperage, boxes, staves, cisterns, moldings, floorings, ceilings, hoops, etc. The exhibit also illustrated the
process of extracting turpentine from pine trees and products made from Spanish moss.
