Louisiana Day began with an elaborate procession from the Buckingham Hotel, where
the visitors from Louisiana were staying, to the fair grounds and thence to the "Cabildo." At the entrance to
the fair, Louisiana's Governor, Newton C. Blanchard, accompanied by a cavalry escort, was joined by former
Missouri governor David R. Francis, the President of the Exposition, various members of Governor
Blanchard's staff, visiting governors and their staffs, and various "ladies." This photo shows President
Francis, Governor
Blanchard, and Louisiana Adjutant General D.T. Stafford during the procession.
