Independent Order of BeaversThe Independent Order of Beavers was one of two dozen or so fraternal organizations listed in the 1910 city directory for New Orleans. It was apparently a shortlived group as it is no longer listed in the 1912 and later directories. Other than the fact that it had a Dam rather than a Lodge, and that it worked with area orphans, we know nothing about the Order.
