108th Cavalry
The 108th was a National Guard regiment composed of units from Louisiana and the state of Georgia. It was party of the 55th Cavalry Brigade, itself part of the 23rd Cavalry Division. Headquarters of the 108th Cavalry was in New Orleans. Though much of its training still involved the use of horses, the regiment did indeed include a motorized section. This image shows Lieutenant Colonel Frederick H. Fox, the regiment's executive officer, and his staff.
