02/20/1888 Hon. A. Sambola Judge of First Recorders Court, N.O. Daniel Murphy 5 yrs about Father Daniel Murphy killed by falling from the rigging of the Louisiana whilst the steamship was in port, some eight months ago. Mother dead. Step-mother sent to Work-House for 20 days for drunkenness.

Mother Zucolata Antonia Tres unable to care for her children having to seek employment from home. The three girls sent to the Asylum of the Holy Cross, corner Elmira & Rampart.
