A beginner's workshop in tracing your African American tree was held at the Main Library on Saturday, February 8, 2003
Antoinette Harrell-Miller, author of You Are My Shadow: The Harrell's Genealogy and Historical Identity and founder of African American Genealogy Connection, Inc. facilitated this year's African American genealogy workshop.
"Setting up a family organization or association is the best way to make family reunions, newsletters, book and information sharing possible," says Harrell-Miller who brought along this display of information about the Harrell family.

Following the program, Mrs. Harrell-Miller gives some added pointers to two audience members who are ready to begin their family search.
