June 22, 2002 		Aloma Lykes, Associate Professor of Clinical Communications Disorders at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans presented a lecture on the nature of Ebonics (i.e., ebony + phonics, literally "black sound") and the arguments for and against its use in education.
