Portraits in New Orleans City Directories, 1852-1856
| During the years 1852-1856 the New Orleans city directories included portraits of one or more
local citizens of some prominence, most of them accompanied by biographical information
ranging in length from a couple of paragraphs to several pages. The following table lists the
individuals represented in those portraits in alphabetical order along with their occupation of
each and the year of the directory in which each appears. The last column indicates whether or
not the portrait is accompanied by a biographical sketch.
