Transition Reports

In the last months of his administration Mayor Morial asked each agency head to prepare a report that would serve both as a record of accomplishments during his eight years in office and as a transition tool for the incoming mayor, C. Ray Nagin. Copies of the reports were transferred to the Archives with the records of the Morial administration.

The reports vary in size and in content. Some present only highlights and are less than one-inch thick, while others include considerable detail (lists of staff, often with salaries; copies of publications; lists of current contracts) and are several inches thick. Most are in loose-leaf binders.

The inventory below lists the reports in alphabetical order by agency name. The filing number refers to a simple numerical arrangement on the shelves in the City Archives storage area.
