  • Digital Library on American Slavery
    "The Digital Library on American Slavery offers data on race and slavery extracted from eighteenth and nineteenth-century documents and processed over a period of eighteen years. The Digital Library contains detailed information on about 150,000 individuals, including slaves, free people of color, and whites." Includes numerous records from Louisiana.
  • Epidemic Summer
    From the Orleans Parish Genweb volunteers, a transcription of this 1853 source, which lists "interments in all cemeteries of New Orleans, from the first of May to the first of November, 1853, together with names and ages of deceased, places of nativity, causes of deaths, dates of interment and name of cemetery in which interred." Many of those included died during the great Yellow Fever epidemic of 1853. Also here are lists of victims of the 841 and 1878 epidemics in New Orleans.
