| Movie Time: Journey for Justice: The A.P. Tureaud Story
and Wreath Laying Ceremony, A.P. Tureaud Park Nora Navra Branch February 5, 2004 |

The Nora Navra Branch incorporated in its Black History Month programming the showing of Journey for Justice, a film on the life and work of civil rights attorney Alexander Pierre Tureaud, which was written and produced by Rachel Emmanuel. The branch is in the neighborhood where A.P. Tureaud once lived.
Students from Corpus Christi elementary school and Louisiana State Univeristy's School of Nursing enjoy the film.
LSU nursing students who braved weather predictions of 100 percent rain leave the branch following the showing.
Some of the students from Corpus Christi school gather around the A.P. Tureaud statue located across the street from the Navra Branch library.
Students read inscription at the foot of the statue.
Young residents of the community say they enjoy the peacefulness of A.P. Tureaud park.
