| François Lacroix was not a man to live by bread alone. He did purchase a good deal of bread from the
baker Jean Mandere (above), but he also enjoyed a variety of wines, liqueurs, and other delicacies from the
grocery
store founded by his brother Julien and continued in operation by Julien's sons (below).
